HOW DO MAGNETS WORK?
Magnetic Therapy is an alternative medical practice using Static – unmoving – magnets to ease pain and inflammation. Magnets improve circulation allowing blood vessels to dilate and bring better blood flow to the injured areas of your body. Better blood flow helps to bring in the natural healers and to remove the toxic by-products of inflammation. Thus pain and inflammation is diminished.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT RESULTS?
Results vary from person to person. Some people have very quick results while others find it takes several weeks to notice improvement. Sometimes a family member or friend may notice, before you, that you are moving more freely or sleeping longer and better. Restless leg syndrome, muscle cramps and painful sciatica can reduce quickly and very significantly while resting on a Magne-Sleep. We suggest you increase your fluid intake during those first weeks – an extra glass of water before bed – to help flush toxins from your  body.
WILL MY UNDERLAY STILL WORK WITHOUT PILLOW PADS?
Yes. Your Magne-Sleep will still work if you don’t wish to use the pad inside your pillow. The Pillow Pads are great for relieving neck and shoulder stiffness and soreness, and to ease painful migraine and tinitus discomfit. Some people prefer to adjust to Magne-Sleep before introducing the Pillow Pad. Everyone is different. Magnetic pads are also great to use away from your bed – your furry pets will certainly enjoy the magnetic benefits.
WILL I BE ABLE TO FEEL THE MAGNETS?
No, you won’t feel the magnets while resting on your Magne-Sleep. The magnets are deeply cushioned inside both the Cotton Quilted and Lambswool Underlay. You will be able to see the rows of magnets on the cotton underside.
CAN I SLEEP ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF A MAGNETIC UNDERLAY?
We strongly advise against this option. All our magnets are placed with the “North Seeking” Negative side to the body. This is widely recognised by specialists in magnetic therapy to give better and much more gentle and effective pain relief than the “South Seeking” positive side. Be wary of “seasonal reversible”  magnetic underlays on the market. The Magnetic inner would also need to be “reversible”.
WHAT MAGNETS DO YOU USE?
We prefer a bigger magnet 23mm x 3mm (North Seeking) ceramic strontium ferrite with a surface rating of about 1,000 gauss to give good penetration (approx 10cm) into your body. Place your Magne-Sleep directly under the bottom sheet for the best results.
HOW LONG WILL THEY LAST?
Magne-Sleep magnets will last 10 – 15 years, slowly losing strength in the  latter years. Another reason all our Magne-Sleep Underlays are made with the very best materials and detailed workmanship, to stand the test of time. Once Magne-Sleep is on your bed you probably won’t need to visit us for a rather long time.
CAN I USE MY ELECTRIC BLANKET?
You can safely use your electric blanket. The Magnets are static and do not emit any frequency. Place your electric blanket underneath the Magne-Sleep.
I HAVE A PACEMAKER CAN I STILL SLEEP ON MAGNE-SLEEP?
Unfortunately, you cannot sleep on a Magnetic Underlay, and will need to remove it from your bed. The Magnets can drain power from your pacemaker and it is not possible to monitor battery usage.The same applies to people using an insulin pump but, in this instance, you could consult with your medical professional. If the insulin pump battery is visible then battery usage could be closely monitored for re-charge.
I AM PREGNANT CAN I STILL SLEEP ON A MAGNETIC UNDERLAY?
As a precautionary measure we recommend you remove the underlay from your bed, while you are pregnant. There has not been extensive research in this area and we always err on the side of caution. New-born babies and children can safely sleep on Magne-Sleep.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY COTTON QUILTED MAGNE-SLEEP? 
We recommend you do not use a washing machine to launder your Cotton Magne-Sleep.  From our experience, unless you have a very large washing machine with a side loader (ie no agitator) it is not ideal. Strong magnets tend to “jump” and “clump” when bunched together in a confined space. We recommend a cool bath soak, then rinse and hang to dry outdoors on a windy, sunny day. Do not dryclean nor use a drier. We recommend you do not use a Commercial laundromat.

HOW DO I CLEAN MY LAMBSWOOL MAGNE-SLEEP?           
Un-zip the cotton undercover then detach and remove the magnetic inner. Machine wash the Lambswool Cover on a cool gentle cycle, making sure the long elastic straps are secured. Hang to dry outdoors. Do not wash the Magnetic Inner, just air outdoors to refresh. Re-attach as before, making sure the more “visible” rows of magnets are again facing down to the mattress.
Vacuum the Lambswool cover to “fluff” up the fleece.
You can dry-clean the Lambswool Cover.
WILL MAGNETS AFFECT MY LAPTOP COMPUTER AND MOBILE PHONE?
If you rest a Laptop computer, mobile phone, battery powered watch or any battery driven devise on a Magnetic Underlay the magnets will drain power and your devices will need to be recharged more often.
CAN I PLACE MY MATTRESS PROTECTOR ON TOP OF MY MAGNE-SLEEP?  
Yes, you can place extra bedding between you and Magne-Sleep, but it will reduce the magnetic therapy. This can be an option if you wish to adjust more slowly to magnetic therapy. Magnets lose penetrative strength very quickly so best results come when magnets are as close to the skin as possible.
CAN MAGNETS CAUSE CANCER?
No magnets do not cause cancer. The magnets we use in Magne-sleep are static and do not emit any frequency.
